try searching the net w/ this: “Free Webhosting Area”
…. though you can’t really have a ‘www.yourname.com’ type of format…. and it is a bit slow on special time…. but if you want a smaller URL for your site then you can just redirect it there ….

Try http://www.110mb.com – they let you upload your pages and host them for free. There are a few around, search for “free hosting”.

There are many of those around now, for cost purpose they don’t differ much and always within the LAMP setup, the idea is always the same, sign up for a free account, run the file manager within and create webpages by code.

There are many hosting services that allow free hosting, typically with limited data storage and bandwidth, but will be sufficient if you are just experimenting with web sites.
All you need to do is find one and sign up. You can then upload your website files (.html, .php, images etc…).

If you are serious about websites either for personal or your business, don’t go to free web hosting as they are usually not reliable and you may end up losing all your hard work. Free web hosts usually put advertisements on your websites and it could be annoying.
