I know that some sites offer you free domain registration, but I have failed in finding free web hosting WITH the domain.
I am wondering if there are any sites that will give you a domain name (such as www.domainname.net), but in return put ads on your site?
A lot of places like freewebs have urls such as freewebs.com/username with adds for the free package, but are there any sites that will give you a domain name and free web hosting if they can advertise on it?

I caution anyone about using free domains — often these domains are not registered to you, but to the entity providing you with the “free” domain. It is not wise to have your associates trust a domain that is not controlled by you — the company may try to severely overcharge you in the future when the domain is heavily integrated into your applications.

Another disadvantage to not having the domain name in your name, but another entity is that it could simply disappear one day and there’s nothing you could about it.

I like them becuase they not only have good support and hosting. They have what you are talking about.
I too was searching. They have no ads on ANY plan, and they have a free plan that can have a domain on it. I use it for most of my sites and it’s perfect.
