Another question, this time about hosting.?
Question by Chris aka Jesus: Another question, this time about hosting.?
I just bought my domain names, and plans and all of this stuff, but accidentally chose the “Linux” hosting plan instead of “Windows”… I want to know if that’s going to make any big differences at all… I mean that’s an $ 80 mistake for over looking it, is there a way to switch it to windows? I’ve yet to start anything at all yet. If there isn’t a difference, I won’t worry about it at all.

There’s a good chance that if you email the support staff and explain your mistake, they’ll switch you over with very minor if any fees (and if not, I don’t respect them very much).
The only way it would matter is if you want to create a web site that’s built using ASP.NET (a Microsoft technology) or some other Microsoft-specific technology. If so, your Linux host can’t (at least not easily) support this, so you’d be better off with a Windows host. If instead you’re building a web site using PHP or just plain HTML, Linux is more than fine.
If you’re not even creating a web site at all, then it probably doesn’t matter.
