Answer by RobIn your email client, go into your Outgoing Mail settings, and uncheck the “Server Requires Secured Connection” or SSL Box.
In other words – the server doesn’t allow for encrypted connections.

Answer by whybeYou are not required to check the boxes that say “This server requires a secure connection (SSL)” for both the outgoing and incoming mail. For the outgoing mail (SMTP) in the Servers tab, it should read “smtp.your isp server”. So check with your internet service provider.
