Avoid Email Threats and Spam with Secure Email Hosting
Back in 1988 university student Robert Norris released an internet worm which was able to exploit vulnerabilities in the UNIX operating system. It is estimated his worm infected as much as 10% of the internet back then.
Today, some 10 years later, Internet Security Company – Sophos – estimate an unbelievable 97% of all business emails sent in 2008 were spam. Now that is a lot of spam! You can just imagine the costs for businesses getting infected from spam and the time spent for staff going through and More >

If people hate spam so much then why do they never send abuse complaints to a domain’s registrar?
Jul 16th
Question by Ὀρφεύς: If people hate spam so much then why do they never send abuse complaints to a domain’s registrar? It’s so simple, it just blows my mind why people aren’t doing this in droves and why spam still exists today. All you need to do is go on a WHOIS site, enter the spammer’s URL, and then look for the registrar’s domain, visit it and click on their abuse link, then send in your complaint. 10 minutes later, the spammer’s site is taken down! Why aren’t more people doing this?

Stop Spam E-mails
In order to be able to stop Spam E-mails you have to know where those spam e-mails are coming from. Spam e-mails are ones that so called “spammers” send to addresses that they find from forums, websites, Usenet groups, chat services and other places. They might also find these addresses at job sites or other business sites. Furthermore, those who send spam e-mail make up usernames and send e-mails to particular ISPs. Question by tater-b: If I transfer e-mail from my bulk box to in box, then mark it as spam, will this block the sender? The “block sender” feature is turned on to block senders of e-mail coming to my inbox, but I want to block those senders whose mail Yahoo determines is spam and puts in my bulk box. I know it will eventually be deleted, but I am interested in blocking all spammers. Will moving items from the bulk box to the inbox cause any problems?

Getting Rid of Spam Emails
I wonder how many emails I send in a week’s time. Probably quite a few. Between work and socializing, I would guess I send around 25. My wife tops me by far; she probably sends close to a hundred. Then there are all those received emails. Again my wife tops me with her occupation. She literally received hundreds each week. Me on the other hand, I would guesstimate around 30 or forty. Now, how many of those are actually emails I want and not spam? Uh, around a third I’d say. That’s More >
