needs to be done & then the web site, like on go Daddy they charge for domain names but do I get that free when I by my Web site.

To get your business out on the internet you need to purchase a domain (www.YOURNAME) and a hosting plan. Usually hosting companies will include the domain when you purchase their hosting plan. After that you will need to design your site yourself, or hire a designer.

if you want you could create a photobucket account and upload photos to that and put them from there onto your freewebs using html

It’s not clear what you mean by “redirect”. Most likely there are one of two things you want to do:

1) Configure the DNS for the domain so that it is a CNAME for the domain you want to redirect it to.

2) Set up HTTP redirection with a hosting provider and redirect web requests to the URL of your choice.

“free website” and business website are not compatible.

If you are going to have a business website it must be a separate website. Hosting can be as low as US$ 4.00per month.

You definitely could, but you leave yourself open to vulnerabilities, and you also kill your connection. If you’re running on cable or DSL, I’d highly recommend you pay like $ 7 a month at HostGator.com – that’s pocket change for something much better than your own desktop.

It all depends on the size of the page you wish to make. I am not totally clear on this question. Are you on a residential package or business package. Does AT&T give you web space? Usual sites are from 500k to 50MB for personal website, business sites with e-commerce can span 100MB to 1GB and more. Where all the hosting companies nail you is on the bandwidth, be careful to know the differance between “space you are allocated on their server” & “How much bandwidth do they allow you per month, both RX and TX”. I’ve been looking around, and can’t decide between ekmpowershop or volusion – or any of the others that are out there! I also want to buy a web address, and have a few emails along side it. Should I go with 2 separate companies (e.g 123-reg and ekmpowershop) or just let 1 do everything? I’m looking to spend around 40 pounds to get started. Any help?
