Question by Chris: Can you sell ssl certificates? Are you allowed to sell ssl certificates, or do you have to be a verified business first? What are the requirements? Thanks.

Answer by Loyal BFor practical purposes, no. You need to be in a postion of trust to sell certificates, such as Verisign, RSA etc. The idea is to have a trusted third party verify that you are you and the person you deal with is who they say they are.

Question by rorybellows: Do I need an SSL certificate to sell items online? I’m helping my wife set up a site to sell items online. I plan on just using PayPal for payment, so would I need to pay for the SSL certificate if the customers will not be buying the items directly from the website and no transactions are actually taking place through the site? Please let me know, I am not trying to cut corners, I just don’t want to have the certificate if it wasn’t necessary.

I´d like to put up a website to showcase my portfolio in design and programming, but I would also like to use the site to sell my skills and design and host web sites for customers. Does that make me a reseller? Is host reselling the option I should look for? I would appreciate recommendations for which provider to sign up with, I need to publish sites using anything from Drupal to flat file html.

Question by kooooo: Does Costco still sell the 2-set gift certificates to See’s candy? OMG, I am seriously craving some of those Rum Nougats. They are soooo delicious. I remember Costco used to sell a 2 pack gift certificate for like , and I used to get them all the time a few years ago. Does anybody know if they still sell them? If so, how much do they go for these days? Thanks for the help.

I wonder if I just buy a domain name for example from yahoo, can I sell the name to the third party? Isn’t that simple as buying and selling a car?
