Question by ProudUSMCMom: What is the best place (name of service) to make international calls via internet (through my computor)? I have family in England and the Netherlands. I live in the USA. I know there’s ways to make international calls for like 2 cents per min but don’t know what program/service to download onto my lap top. Please help with suggesting a good service for this!!

www isn’t a requirement, it’s just the default subdomain for apache which is the most widely used server out there, so everyone used it…

Yes it could, but without domain names everything would be 255.255.255.0 (Yahoo would be 209.191.122.70)

Answer by mdigitaleWell I’ve only bought domains through godaddy (no hosting), but usually the domain purchase is instant and the domain starts working about 1 hour after I update the name servers. It can take up to 72 hours for the DNS info to propagate but often that is an overestimate.

If you can make sure that you have a unique IP address then you can run your website on your machine and give the IP address to the external person to access your website. He will put that IP in the browser and navigate to your site.
