Question by Charlie_M1: If you browse the “root” of your own website you will get a 403 Forbidden instead of a 404 Not Found message If you browse the “root” of your own website you will get a 403 Forbidden instead of a 404 Not Found message if you don’t have an index.htm or index.html entry. Why?

Answer by ColincBecause you are not looking for a specific file from the browser, just the default. The server assumption is that if there is no directory index default file you are not supposed to be looking there.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered whilst hoping to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. What could i do to assist it be sure to make sure you support
