Question by Ramroom: How to create my Certificate Authority(CA) and Generate server certificate/key pair to be used by SSL in java? I got a TCP Client/Server system working on SSL using Java and i must do my own Certificate Authority (CA) file. and generate the Server certificate/key pair to be used by SSL. i need to know how to do these two things in java language ?

Answer by wanswongIf you need to generate the certificate, you can use keytool.exe that comes with Java SE. Run keytool /? to display options.

Question by argh.pirate: Is an SSL Secure Server the same as having a certificate? I want to sign up for BlueHost and in the features is says SSL Secure Server is included. Does that mean I’ll have a shared SSL certificate? If not does BlueHost have shared SSL certificates? Are they included or cost more? The message we get is “An error occurred during the submit process. The server has an invalid ssl certificate”. How do we get passed this so we can view the document? My husband is about ready to throw our macbook out the window and is saying that we should just go back to a PC. I don’t want to so please help. Thanks!
