I know this is a bit of an obscure question but I was wondering if there are any electrical shops in Schiphol, such as Dixons or Currys where one might purchase an internet cable so I can connect my laptop abroad. Question by thephilliesarenotstopable: Why does my cable internet shut off when the phone rings? My family has cable internet. The cable comes from the wall, then goes to the modem, and then goes to the wireless-N router. A cord also comes from the router to the desktop PC it is near. The wireless network works fine normally. here is the problem, whenever the home phone rings or is used, the internet goes down and cannot be used until the phone is no longer in use. What is the cause of this problem and what are possible solutions?

Question by Mãtthew: why can’t I buy JUST internet without combining it with phone or cable services? I want to upgrade my internet service to a higher speed with a different provider. I don’t need cable and I use a cell phone instead of a home phone. But everytime I call about getting ONLY internet service, they say that I have to bundle it with tv or a home phone service. (or I can’t have the internet service) Why is this? Why can’t I just have internet without the other stuff?

I’m having connection problems with certain applications and games I’m playing. I port forwarded my router for the game but I still had some trouble with certain connections. I tried hooking my dsl modem directly to the computer, but that didn’t help either. Is there anyway possible to fix this? Can I port forward on this DSL modem from AT&T? Thank you.
