Question by Peter B: What are the Army Basic rules for phone and email? I’m planning on joining up soon, and I was just curious about the rules with phone and email use while in basic.

Answer by MissSarathe army is less strict than other branches (such as the marines). Email access is VERY limited…possibly none. And the phone…well you get to make calls every once in a while, but not right at first. Question by SSG Wells: Army, CAC Card problem with AKO? I just got issued a new ID card. my previous ID card was registered with AKO and i was able to login and digitally sign military documents. Now I am unable to login with my new CAC Card. I was told to login to AKO with my username and password and go to “my account”, so i could reset my CAC for the new one, but it doesn’t work. He has no idea how e-mail accounts even work, while I know how hotmail/yahoo works, and all, but wtf? Where do you go to sign into the Army e-mail account?
