Never liked incredimail. It clogged up my computer.
The concept is cool, and I have always had a machine with more than suitable specs, but it just always seemd to slow things down, added things i didn’t want to the registry, and such.

When people ask me questions in reference to ‘anyone’ they’re usually talking about themselves. Even if they are actually considering sharing information with someone else, there is a comfort in being able to say, ‘Anyone can do it.’

A work at home internet business is actually much easier to manage and maintain than most home businesses. The skill set required does depend on the type of business, but using the internet as a base of operation is always designed to be user friendly. Whether you run the business, or use the service as a customer, the goal is to make the experience more enjoyable than going to the store.

On the other hand it is my experience that computers scare people more than the internet does. When you listen to people complain it is rarely about the internet unless they’re speaking about their particular internet service. Most people blame their machines.

Keeping in mind that most computer users have never obtained formal training, the idea of using their computer to run a business will send up red flags. What most people don’t realize is that they can get a self help book, an electronic course, or simply spend time on you tube where people are diligently making videos teaching all about using computers.

Owning the best tools in the world won’t mean you’re ready to build a house. Unless the tools are capable of designing, planning and doing the work themselves, you’ll have to learn how to use them. Some builders are better than others, but all the great builders learned how to use their tools correctly.

So the question isn’t so much can anyone run a work at home internet business, as it is can anyone work effectively with a computer? While we recognize that the internet is also a tool, the mastery of using the internet as a tool begins with a comprehensive understanding of computers. The more we know about computers and software, the easier it is to comprehend the internet.

There are great resources available to get beyond the confusion of how these machines function. Most internet business owners I know don’t have extensive formal training, and when they have to work with new software, or something gets upgraded, it takes them some time to adjust. Other people do have a knack for grasping new information, but it usually stems from more extensive training or experience.

When a real entrepreneur sees the opportunity presented by an internet business, the question they’ll typically ask is, ‘How can I learn to run a work at home internet business?’

That’s because their mindset springs from a can do attitude. Most entrepreneurs, having read the title of this article, never read the second line. They don’t spend their time thinking about ‘if’ they can do something. They focus instead upon overcoming any obstacles preventing them from achieving their objective goals.

I’ve spent time training and teaching complex computer skills to technically savvy individuals. When a person knows that they cannot do their job without the required information, they ask very specific and relevant questions. The motivation to understand springs from an essential need to complete their required tasks. They simply cannot function without knowing.

While it’s true that anyone can run a work at home internet business, it’s also true that not everyone is motivated to do so. If you have a computer with internet access you have the tools necessary to start your own business. Once again, the tools aren’t going to do the work, nor are they going to motivate you to do the work.

Training comes into play with almost any work at home business endeavor available. A lot of that training comes free of charge, but upon closer examination, the initial training usually just introduces us to what we need to know. Obtaining valuable knowledge is always either going to cost time and money, or both.

Anyone can run a work at home internet business, provided they have the necessary tools. An educational base is the third most important tool, behind a computer and internet access. The better that educational platform, the more likely it is that the business will succeed.

I’m looking to set up internet service in the UK and am interested in finding a company that doesn’t require a contract. I am interested in Talktalk and BT, but they both look like they need 12 or 18 month contracts.

everyone seems to require a contract.

Virgin seems to do it without a contract, but there is a clause that if you have it less than a year you can be charged for a whole year, so not worth it. just like a contract then really.

when i was in the uk last year we got aol, it came with a free wireless router and was £15 month for 1MB broadband. it was good enough, and cheap enough. they had a 12month contract though. i think it’s unavoidable really.

as for talktalk i would stay clear of them as ive hear lots of bad press about them, im surprised they are still operatiing actually.

The ones by google are legit. It’s called google adplus. its basically you make a blog or a website and you integrate google adplus into your blog/website and it will display links with the “ads by google” caption at the bottom. (you may have seen these on other websites) and every time someone clicks a link then you get a little bit of money and then they send it by mail to your house.

You dont need that, go with any host!

Manually submit your site to google

and then in the html add this

but use your keywords, its one of the best ways of getting high rankings, thats how google searches for sites and gives them the top ranks

The server itself won’t have GSM capabilities, but it could be tied to a network that does.

Try www.rackspace.com – if they don’t have it, good chance no one will.

1. No dialling tone until router is turned on and off etc.,
2. Dialling tone but when you get through to someone it immediately cuts off and goes to unobtainable
3. When you dial – you get nothing but unobtainable and then again have to turn off router and sometimes it clears on it’s own and you get connected again.

Has anyone had similar problems – and are my suspicions well founded when I suggest that this is not due to there being a problem with the router but rather the exchange – and capacity. Have had it confirmed by network provide that problem is at the exchange with a data card that splits analogue and digital signal between pstn and voip lines but not had it admitted officially anyway that it is, as I greatly suspect a lack of capacity on the network via the internet because it piggybacks onto the pstn line – getting no real answers fast – need an unbiased answer please ?
Been trying to sort this out since the 3rd May – has anyone got some suggestions – at the point where I want to call BBC’s Watchdog ! Infact if you are reading this and you work on the Watchdog team – could you please reply to this question ?

i had packet8 service in the U.S. for two years and I switched to sunrocket about 5 months ago. I have had all sorts of high speed internet services including dsl, cable and fios. towards the end of my packet8 service, i had similar problems to what you are describing. packet 8 suggested that i move the router at least four feet away from the modem and from the voip box. this seemed to help.
