The Cisco® Certified Internetwork Professional (CCIP) certification provides the service providers with wide knowledge and professionalism in building up IP networks. The CCIP certification also provides valid and advanced skills to the service engineers to manage the infrastructure of the service provider networks. However, there are different types of key courses under the Cisco Certifies Internetwork professional certification. They are:
Building Scalable Cisco Internetworks (BSCI).
Implementing Cisco Quality of Service (QoS).
Configuring BGP on Cisco Routers (BGP).
Implementing Cisco MPLS (MPLS).
The candidates or the CCIP students can learn the following once the CCIP certification course is successfully completed.
IP routing.
IP QoS.
BGP.
MPLS.
In order to be eligible for the Cisco Certified Internetwork Professional certification, the candidate should have passed the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification. The CCIP certification includes four main exams for the candidates and it has to be validated with the CCNA certification. The two options are:
Option 1
Certification                                                                                                     Exams
Cisco® Certified Internetwork Professional (CCIP)                           642-901 (BSCI) or 642-892 Composite
642-642 (QoS)
642-661 (BGP)
642_611 (MPLS)
Option 2
Certification                                                                                                     Exam
Cisco® Certified Internetwork Professional (CCIP)                           642-901 (BSCI) or 642-892 Composite
642-642 (QoS)
642-691 (BGP + MPLS)
After the completion of the CCIP certification exam, the professionals will have a wide idea and understanding about the networking technologies used for the service providers. The engineers or service professionals will also have the ease of working with IP routing, BGP, MPLS and IP QoS.
The Cisco Certified Internetwork Professional provides the candidate with advanced internetworking knowledge which is in great demand in all the IT sectors, in the modern and competitive market situation. The CCIP certification also helps the professionals to build a strong network using the BGP or IP on Cisco routers. The candidates will also get an idea about implementing the MPLS in a proper manner using the Cisco networking solutions.
The CCIP certification course or training can also be taken online through live classes. The certified professional or instructors help the candidates by educating them about the networking technologies. This is convenient because it is conducted through online and the candidate does not have to attend regular classes for it.
