How can I enable the ‘Secure Socket layer’ (ssl) on my computer?
Question by envi v: How can I enable the ‘Secure Socket layer’ (ssl) on my computer?
My young nephews visited me last weekend.
They downloaded a bunch of stuff on my machine.
I noticed today that when I wanted to book a flight on expedia.com , the small lock symbol located in the lower corner of my screen didn’t show up. I tried other trusted websites that I use (bank, credit card, etc.) to no prevail.
Can somebody tell me how I can fix this problem?
Thanks

Did they update your browser to IE 7?
The “lock” icon in IE7 is not where you used to see it. Look to the very right of the Address bar (where you type www.***.com) and it might be there.
If you dont know what version of IE you have use the HELP – ABOUT screen and it will tell you.

If it is actually disabled…
Tool>>Internet Options>> Advanced
Scroll down to the bottom of the list. Also, enable TLS if it has not already been done.
