Direct Marketing is a mechanism to reach your customer directly (may be a legacy term) via mail, as opposed to eMail Marketing, Media Marketing, Yellow Pages and such. Direct Mail includes, but is not limited to ads as postcards and self mailers. The benefits are that you can include return envelopes, rebate offers, coupons and such within the marketing campaign itself.
