Company naming and decisions (IT Based)?
Question by David: Company naming and decisions (IT Based)?
Hello, Yahoo’ers
OK I’m planning on a re-design of my site and the general structure of my company, I’m launching it big this year. So I’m looking for a little feedback.
I already have a logo design over services, just a concept. These logo designs dont brand or trademark well.
Shown Here : http://carmichaelitservices.co.uk/
So the main name is Carmichael IT Services, but I was thinking of just Carmichael and trying to encorp the services on a color base like what’s there just now.
Here is a concept that has been sent to the trademark people at the Intellectual property:

If I could have feedback on this.
I was thinking about future proofing this as well, in case the company grows and does other things.
So I was thinking about possible IT services and colors suggestions welcome
What I was thinking:
Computers – it repair (blue)
Web – Online solutions (yellow)
Systems – Computer systems (purple)
Software – Software solutions (unsure)
Etc… Trying to think of as much colors I can put in the brand to cover for the future
All answers appreciated

Everything looks good as it is. And carmichael on its own would be great.
Great design and all that, but as for the colour thing, thats a NO-NO!
Do that and you’ll definately ruin anything you got. You are going towards branding yourself or company. Does Tesco’s have different logo’s and colours?
Does Asda have different logo’s and colours?
If you change colours all the time and not just stick to one, you will ruin any and all credability you had and would of got.
