I’m skeptical about this issue,considering yours as a service based firm, but as far i know its not usually considered as direct expense. Anything that helps increase your clientele would come under advertising/marketing expense, which is generally not considered as a direct expense. on the contrary, you could consider it as direct cost if its a reasonably big figure compared to other expenses of your firm.
