I have optimum online and I want to know the speed at which my internet is running. Where can I find that out? Also, when download and upload, what speeds should I expect to get? If I dont have get these speeds, is there anything I can do to get them?

There are several sites that can test your connection. You can go to one of the Web sites below and run a speed test.
Internet speed is based upon your ISP (internet service provider) and the only way to increase your downloading speed is to upgrade your broadband connection.

try DU meter thats better than any else it’s a free 1 month trail and also many cracks are available after 1 month.
because it tells what speed per second you are sending and receiving and also keeps the record of how much data you have uploaded or downloaded.

To test both download and upload, try http://www.fastspeedtest.com/
Make sure your computer is running properly, and if your download and upload speeds are far below expectations, you should contact your ISP. If they advertise to you, that you get 512k upload, and you only get 300k, they will probably tell you that their speeds are “up to” However, if you upload speeds are like 100k, there may be additional issues with either your computer or internet conneciton.
