Q&A: How long can you be inactive from an e-mail account before it gets deleted?
Question by Matty: How long can you be inactive from an e-mail account before it gets deleted?
I have e-mail accounts on yahoo, msn/hotmail/windows live, aol, and g-mail. Some of them I haven’t logged in for awhile and I heard of people’s accounts getting deleted on those sites due to them being inactive for so long. I know some of them haven’t even been checked for almost 6 months and I am kind of worried because I didn’t want them to be deleted.

there is no hard/fast rule … each site set’s it’s own limit. You’ll need to research each.

Hi,
I have fsmail accounts, and I am very certain that if I dont log onto them regular then they are deleted after 90 days.
I have a list of the accounts and every now and then I will spend an hour or so logging on to all of them to keep them going.
Even if I dont read the emails, I least I have kept it active.
The best thing is to log in and go to the help or faq section to find out more.
Cheers.
