Question by lioness: In my yahoo email their is a pop up, what is it? Why?
Did I do something? Is it another email? A pops up, it’s blank, and the address bar says mail 2 and a mail_candygram etc… Any idea?

Then get the AdBlockPlus add on – https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865

I use both of these and all of my inbox’s (incl. hotmail and aol) are free of adverts. What AdBlockPlus does is scan the page and block the adverts from loading. So in doing that it also speeds up your browsing as there is not so much crap to load.

➊ Download and install Privoxy.
❷ Click on the Wrench icon in Chrome in the upper right corner.
➌ Choose options -> Under The Hood -> Change proxy settings.
➍ In the Internet Properties dialog’s Connections tab, click on the LAN settings button.
❺ Check off “Proxy settings” and in the address setting add 127.0.0.1 and in the port 8118.
❻ If you have the option, you can also check off “Bypass proxy for local settings”.
❼ Click “OK,” close Chrome and restart it.

First, you need to download a list of filters adapted from the adblock plus list for Internet Explorer 8. This can be found here or attached at the end of this article. Download the archive and extract its content.
