I get too much junk …I just want to open an entirely new email address etc

If you want to delete your entire account, read this first:

Note: a mail account can’t get deleted separately. If you don’t want it anymore best let it go dormant, after 4 months of inactivity Yahoo will delete it automatically.

If u wanna avoid junk then don’t register on websites
And spam those emails which u don’t like
U can’t delete ur account
It will be deactivated after some months

First, make very sure that is what you want to do, if you delete the account you can never get it back, or use that ID name, either.
Any other yahoo programs associated with your mail account will also be deleted.
If you are sure:
Click on the help at the upper right corner of the screen from the account you want to delete.
