Account Now Card Packed With Savings
Account Now Card Packed With Savings
Article by James Heninger
Life can be difficult if you don’t have a checking account. Most employers, after all, will pay you with checks each week. To turn these into checks, you’ll have to make regular visits to your local currency exchange or check-cashing service. This means fees, lots of them. Fortunately, there is an alternative, the Account Now prepaid card.
This card acts as a combination checking account/credit card. Only it doesn’t come with the risks of credit cards; you can’t run up huge amounts of debt because the only money on your Account Now card is the money your employer deposits in it. You can only spend, then, what you have already earned.
That’s right, each week instead of giving you a paycheck, your employer deposits your earnings on your AccountNow card. You can then use the card like a credit card to purchase groceries, pay for gas or buy a meal at a nice restaurant. And unlike check-cashing services, you won’t be subject to exorbitant fees.
That is the real benefit of the AccountNow card. The officials behind the card estimate that the average card holder will save about each month in check-cashing and other fees. That comes out to 0 in savings every year. That’s a significant amount of money to pocket.
Using the AccountNow card isn’t free. You will be charged a .95 monthly fee. But that fee is figured into your monthly savings; even with the nearly monthly fee, you’ll still save about each month if you use the prepaid card instead of a check-cashing service.
Applying for an Account Now prepaid Visa or MasterCard card is simple. You simply need to provide you name, e-mail address, Social Security Number, mailing address and phone number to the company.
If you want to cut down on your monthly expenses and fees – and in today’s economy, who doesn’t? – it might be time to consider applying for one of these prepaid cards. You’ll find that the savings will add up steadily over time.
