My best friend’s ex ran up her credit card and disappeared. He put her over $ 15,000 into debt. We’re mad at him, but not much we can do about it, so I thought about buying (hisname.com) and putting a redirect to porn. It wouldnt have anything abourt HIM on the site – I just know that he’s been meaning to buy his own domain name and hasn’t gotten around to it. It would be a small annoyance (and victory!), but I am not a lawbreaker, unlike him. Can you pretty much buy anyname.com and make it whatever you want as long as it’s not slander? I am tempted to buy the name of his business, too. I know it’s not the most mature thing to do, but I feel like I have to stab at him SOMEHOW! Ideas? (that won’t get me arrested?)

You can buy anyone’s domain name but redirecting it to a porn site? Aren’t you implying that he’s into porn in some way? I don’t know but wouldn’t that be slander of defamation? Why not tell the truth about him based on what he did and what could be proven?

If i were you i would at least buy the names, nothing illegal about that. as far as redirecting it to porn the only issue would be slander and if hes hurting for money (which it sounds like he is) i doubt he would even have enough to hire a lawyer. but if you want to play it safe, i would think of something that he hates or really pissed him off and use it. im always for porn though! if your sure your going to buy the name, go ahead and edit your question and post the addy and let people add it to their favorites so we can check it out when you get done, be sure to delete this topic though right before you publish the site!
