There are several sites with website building tools. You can register a domain name, get e-mail addys, build a site, and you can even get a blog. This is great for beginners.
If you are a bit more advanced, you can use tools like frontpage or Dreamweaver to build a site.

I think Joomla is easier to start your website. http://www.joomla.org
This is the open source. Also IF you want built your online bussiness or ecommerce site you can use virtuemart. http://www.virtuemart.net
if you want some good desain template you can go to http://www.vjtemplates.com/ that my favourite ones. their design is good also good support and you can get hosting from them and get 10% off if you buy their templates http://www.vjtemplates.com/virtuemart-theme-hosting

My husband and I were just wondering the same thing. I found a young man who is a graphic designer who started his own business. You can visit the website http://www.guizmodesigns.com. He can do everything for your business from your website, business cards, t-shirts and wrapping your car for advertisement. If you call him tell him I gave you the information and he will offer a discount.
Hope this helps!

You can start by using free software like NVU, WordPress, and so on, to get started. Once you are ready, then, pick a web hosting site. Pick a web host with a plan of around $ 6/mo. If your site takes off then you can always upgrade the web hosting.

building a real website with .com or your domain name
is like having a physical store
3 steps you need to complete
1. find a physical store (find a server/virtual host)
you may rent or do it by yourself or but it
Rent-means you need “virtual host” (search engine can help you)
Do it by yourself – find a computer and set it as a server
2. put your commodities in your physical store (uploading your contents to server)
Web contents are placed to the server(photos or texts)
any function you need can install in this stage
3. name your physical store (domain name setting like http://www.tsmmc.com)
let visitors can link to your website by setting DNS server
you may set such server by yourself
try outsourcing of it – you will save a lot of time

I can get one up for you pretty quickly and inexpensively. If you would like, I can get you up initially and then leave it in your hands to maitenance or change until you get the hang of it- or, I can maitenenace for you. If you just want to sign up and navigate on you own, click the link below. Once you get to the page, click the button for “pricing” and select your package. This is the best do- it- yourself company I have ever found that is user friendly and still gives professional results with technical support. They have been around for a while and I have always had great experiences with them.
