It is an idea that starts the process.  Once you have your idea it is time to bring the idea to light.  A website is necessary to achieve any greatness in the virtual world and as complicated as it may appear, it is relatively simple.  However, there are many steps that need to be covered, and homework must first be done.  You will be dealing with creating a website, the use of keywords ,headers, meta tags, description and content for your site to ensure that it is  properly designed  to be recognized by the search engines. 

Once you are ready to begin construction of your website the following simple steps can guide you through its creation ensuring that you are empowered with a site that will rank in the search engines.

How to Build a Website:

1.    Hosting.  In order to have a website on the Internet, you need a place to put it.  A hosting company is just that, it is where you put your website and all its pages.  The first thing to do is to select a hosting company.
2.    Domain Name.  A domain name is not necessary, but it is professional.  You should definitely purchase a domain name that is either your company name or that best describes your brand or service. 
3.      Research.  Before creating your site, you have to have something to say.  Therefore, content is necessary before its construction.  Research will be necessary here.  It is vital to research and get to know your target audience, the psychology behind their actions, and the correct keywords that would most likely be searched when seeking information for your brand or service. 
4.      Search Engine Optimization is the next step.  This will involve your keywords.  You want to include your keywords in all the crucial areas.  This includes the header, meta tags, and description and the content.  The keywords in the content should not be used more than 5%. 
5.      Creating your content.  Content must be the most enticing, valuable and informative information available to your readers.  Search engines will recognize sites that have new and informative information that is not a replica of competitors websites.  Search engines will look at this as though you are the top in your niche or industry.  Each page should have original content.  Each page should also be focused on the keyword for that particular page. 
6.      Meta Tags:  Meta tags are use in the “head” area of your web pages.  The webmaster will include information regarding your site.  You will include a title- which will be your page name or website name, a meta description- which will be the description of what your page is or selling, and a meta name, which will be your keywords.  For example, if your site is “Jogging Shoe Emporium” then in the “head area of your website you would include:

7.      Web page design.  Once you have the “head” area of your web page constructed it will be time to add the content.  You want to use your keywords throughout the page’s content.  Density should be 2% to 5%.
